NR OUTREACH

Through our outreach we desire to assist those who may be struggling, facing tragedy, or experiencing external adversity.  At Northridge, outreach isn’t reduced to solely improving the physical needs of others but to ultimately, save lives, that is, eternal lives. Our outreach ministries are about advancing the Kingdom of God. Outreach serves as the catalyst  to make connections with others, giving us the opportunity to bring forward the Gospel of our Lord and Savior, Christ Jesus.

"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations"

We believe that one of the best things we can do is go into all the world and show people the love of Jesus. We do this through our missions trips that are foreign and domestic. Through these trips, we are able to meet the needs of the people we encounter and let them know that Jesus loves them and wants to have a relationship with them. 
"...go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit"

 Four  Areas of Outreach

In House
Within the walls of church; Helping people in the church who are experiencing tragedy, widows, single parent, orphans, unemployed, or the homeless.
Community Outreach 
Outreach into our  neighborhoods. Through our places of employment, schools,  as well as nursing homes or assisted living organizations. Taking the church from our building to the community.
Local Outreach
Reaching beyond the local community and into neighboring communities, crossing statelines and beyond.
Global Outreach  
Striving to spread the Gospel regardless of language barriers, with the heart to make disciples of all nations.

In House

Opportunities to be apart of this outreach are numerous. Starts with our Northridge Dream Team, those who serve the church weekly. Serving in all ministries of the church from greeting those entering the building to assisting in the nursery.  For more information for a certain area or just general information with the "In House "click here"

Community Outreach

Being a part of this outreach is for those who wish bring the church out of the four walls and into the community.  For more information about our community out reach "click here".      Several areas:
  • Nursing Homes
    • Bringing an event to the home, such as games, worship and ministry time.
  • Widows
    • Assisting with the needs of local widows, by tackling some immediate physical needs ie.. building ramps or small repairs to homes.
  • Schools 
    • Repairs, painting and some carpentry work
    • Providing Egg Hunts
    • Running concessions stands
    • Cooking & delivering meals to football teams
    • Facilitating teacher appreciation snacks and gifts throughout the year
    • Assisting the schools with honoring our veterans.
    • Christmas assistance to children within the schools
  • Blessing Box
    • Collecting and stocking the box.
    • Collecting and delivering of special meals Thanksgiving/Christmas
  • Veterans
    • Honoring through the year as well as a dinner on Veterans day.
  • Pop-Serve  Moments 
    • Storm damage clean up and assistance
  • Trail of Treats   |  Christmas Parade  | Freedom Bash | Fall Fest
    • Setup and teardown 
    • Operating a particular part of the event such as assisting with parking.

Local Outreach

Our Local Outreach  can take us from our county to  any other county in Tennessee as well as  to another state entirely.   More information on our local outreach "click here". Areas of opportunity in our local outreach are:
  • Youth Villages
    • 3 Group homes for foster children, each home operated by the state, housing 8-12 teenagers, with 24hour state provided staff.
    • We send three teams from Northridge, one to each home. Teams are made up adults.
      • Tallwood Team Boys 16-18 years of age.
      • Binkley Team Boys 13-15 years of age.
      • Wallace Team Girls 13-18 years of age.
  • Homeless | Our Fathers House | Under the Bridge
    • seasonal engagements with the homeless in and around Nashville and Springfield.
  • Pop Up Team 
    • Assisting after storm damage 

Global Outreach

This is literally taking what we do in other outreach and taking it to other countries. Opportunities for all ages and skill sets. Each trip is focused with identified purpose. Interested in more information  our global trips "click here". Areas that we currently have trips to are:
